1. Year & Soap: How many lines use the year's digits or Soap as zero?
Soap (White Dragon) doubles as zero, so these lines all fight over it.
2. Pair traps: How many lines have 2 or more pairs?
Jokers can never fill a pair, so these lines need real tiles — harder to finish.
3. Concealed hands: How many lines are marked C (concealed)?
You can only call a discard on these for Mah Jongg itself.
4. Run overlap: Which number appears in the most run lines? (1–9)
That number is your 'highway' — keep it, and expect others to want it too.
5. Flower lines: How many lines need Flowers?
If it's most of the card, Flowers will be hot all year.
