Module 07
Etiquette & Calling
This task
Step 1 of 8 + quiz
In a real game: You have about 2–3 seconds to call a discard before the next player acts.

“Good table manners make every game more fun. Most of it is simply saying your discards out loud and giving others time.”

Official Rule
Draw vs. call
A draw is taking the next tile from the wall on your turn. A call is claiming the tile someone just discarded — you say 'Call', take it, and expose a group with it. Calling can jump you ahead of turn order.

Keep your card private and call your discards clearly — the same at a practice table or a real one.
On the real NMJL card: Everyone at a real table should use the same year's official NMJL card.
